A Simple Prayer

Here’s a simple prayer that I start my daily conversations with God with;

“Glory…. Glory….. Glory….. to my God, the creator of the universe and all things in it…hallowed is He that through Him all things are possible. And blessed is His son, my personal Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who bore the weight of my sins and the sins of all mankind while being crucified on the cross…and through His death and resurrection promises everlasting life to those who accepts Him as their Lord and Savior, and follows the Word of God (The Holy Bible).”

Saying this one simple prayer puts the rest of my conversation with God into perspective. To me it respectfully identifies with the Deity of our living, and the sacrifice of our savior.

In the last few weeks in particular I have been trying hard to connect with God on a more personal basis. So I have changed my attention and affection in which I ask God for help everyday.

God Bless you All………

  1. Mike, this is a wonderful way to start your day. I pray throughout my day, and sometimes I feel that God must think I need to get my prayers organized. But, I know He doesn't mind.

    Are you up yet? Call me.

  6. Mike, that is beautiful, and I love watching your journey with the Lord. As for me, I try to connect with God and keep a running dialogue with him throughout the day. He is with us always as Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to be with us each and watch over us every day, all day long. I am just SO thankful for His presence in my life. He is the best friend any person could ever have. God is awesome, and so is your prayer.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  16. Hey Mike,

    It was good talking to you & Teresa the other day. I love your prayer! It's always good to start your day talking to your Heavenly Father, before you get busy or distracted.

    I feel a need to share with you something that helped me when I was seeking to get close to God. I, like yourself, was close to Jesus, because He was my Savior, and I read about His life in the Gospels. He's very approachable, loving, compassionate, easy to accept. When it came to God, I worked & worked, and tried & tried, thinking I had to please Him, always feeling a little distant...then one day, when I was reading the Bible, the revelation came to me, something I'd read a thousand times but never really "saw". Jesus said many times, "if you've seen Me, you've seen the Father", or "I can do nothing on my own, I speak the words the Father gives Me". In John 14:8-10, Philip said "Lord, show us the Father, and it will be sufficient for us". Jesus answered, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show me the Father?'" "Do you believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me..." This helped me see what God was like. I could go & on, but I apologize for writing a "book" on your blog...anyway, I thought this might be helpful to you, like it was to me. Take it for what it's worth. Have a blessed day!
